Bali Sport and Recovery Summit National Seminar: Unlocking the Pillars of Healing, Performance, and Wellness


The Master of Sports Physiology Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, in collaboration with the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Bali Province and Regenic, proudly hosted the Bali Sport and Recovery Summit National Seminar with the theme "Unlocking the Pillars of Healing, Performance, and Wellness." The event took place on July 31, 2025, in the AA Made Djelantik Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.


The seminar aimed to broaden participants' insights into cutting-edge approaches to injury recovery, improving athlete performance, and maintaining holistic well-being. Through this forum, participants were expected to take home practical knowledge, renewed enthusiasm, and collaborative networks to support the advancement of sports science and national sports achievements.


The seminar began with a report from the committee chair, Dr. Pasek Wira Bhuana, S.Ked., who outlined the philosophy behind the event's logo, which reflects the three main pillars of Healing, Performance, and Wellness. The three shapes, resembling leaves or flames, in the logo symbolize growth and transformation, in line with the seminar's spirit of promoting the advancement of sports science and recovery. Next, remarks were delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT (K). In his remarks, he conveyed that sports are a current trend, with people enthusiastic about participating in sports activities to improve their health. He expressed his hope that future collaboration between KONI (Indonesian National Sports Committee) and the Faculty of Medicine could contribute to the community, particularly in sports science and recovery.


The event was opened by the Chairman of KONI Bali Province, I Gusti Ngurah Oka Darmawan. The event was followed by the presentation of awards, expressing KONI Bali's gratitude to those who supported the event, including the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University.


The seminar featured four speakers, experts in their fields:

1. Dr. dr. Indira Vidiari Juhanna, M.Fis., Lecturer in the Master of Sports Physiology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, presented on the physiological mechanisms of sports recovery, from muscle repair, autonomic balance, to hormonal regulation.

2. Dr. Sandy Qlintang, M.Biomed., President Director of Bifarma Adiluhung, Stem Cell Regenic, presented on the role of stem cells and the secretome in injury recovery, muscle regeneration, and preventing overtraining.

3. Dr. M. Ikhwan Zein, Sp.KO., Sub.SPALK., Sports Medicine Specialist, Yogyakarta State University, presented on strategies for managing sports injuries from the acute phase to reintegration to optimal performance.

4. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Putera Eka Santhosa, M.Fis., AIFO-K., Lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Medicine, Mahasaraswati University, presented on the practical implementation of recovery strategies in athlete development, from data-driven training to collaboration with medical personnel.

This seminar was moderated by Dr. dr. Nila Wahyuni, M.Fis., Dr. Putu Laksmi Anggari Putri Duarsa, Sp.KK.


The Bali Sport and Recovery Summit National Seminar was attended by the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information of Udayana University, the Rector of Bali International University, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Dyana Pura University, the Head of the BPJS Employment Branch, the Coordinator of the Master of Sports Physiology Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University, the Director of Bali Mandara Regional Hospital, the Director of Darma Yadnya Hospital, the Director of Murni Teguh Hospital, the Director of Ari Canti Hospital, the Director of Kalbe Farma, the Director of the Udayana Military Command Army Hospital, the Director of Siloam Hospital, the Head of the Maybank Branch, and 160 participants from academics, practitioners, physiotherapists, coaches, athletes, and sports organizations from various regions in Indonesia.
