Educational Workshop for the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
The Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital held a hybrid educational workshop (both offline and online) in the Dr. I Gusti Putu Panteri Psychiatry Meeting Room, Cempaka Building, 4th Floor, Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital, Denpasar. This event is an annual event aimed at improving the quality of psychiatry specialist education. (11/12/2025)
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, represented by Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, S.Ked., MPH, Ph.D.; the President Director of Ngoerah General Hospital, Dr. I Wayan Sudana, M.Kes.; the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit and keynote speaker, Dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, Ph.D., heads of network hospitals (Manah Shanti Mahottama Mental Hospital, Udayana University Hospital, Wangaya Regional Hospital, Mangusada Regional Hospital), representatives from Abiansemal 1 Community Health Center, representatives from Tabanan and Kerobokan Penitentiaries, representatives from Tunas Daud School as a partner, the Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, the Coordinator of the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, lecturers, educational staff, residents, and representatives from IKATRIYANA.
The event began with participant registration, the singing of Indonesia Raya and the Faculty of Medicine Hymn, an opening prayer, and a report from the Committee Chair, Ni Made Leni, dr., Sp.K.J., who emphasized the importance of a shared understanding of educational quality assurance. The remarks by the Director of Ngoerah Hospital and the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, also officially opened the 2025 Psychiatry Specialist Study Program Education Workshop.
The scientific session opened with a presentation by the Coordinator of UP3M, Udayana University Faculty of Medicine, on measuring Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) and its implementation in higher education quality assurance. The presentation continued with an evaluation of human resources and strengthening the capacity of lecturers by Dr. Ni Ketut Putri Ariani, Sp.KJ., Subsp.K.L.(K), and a presentation by Dr. I Gusti Ayu Indah Ardani, Sp.KJ., Subsp.A.R.(K) on the Education Coordinator and Strategic Plan.
Next, the Coordinator of Research and Community Service, Dr. I Gusti Agung Ayu Widyarini, Sp.K.J., outlined the direction for strengthening research and community service in the Department of Psychiatry. The Secretary of TPPM, Dr. Ida Aju Kusuma Wardani, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp.K.L.(K), MARS, presented material on study program documents, standards, SOPs, educational guidelines, and the TPPM annual report. This was followed by an evaluation of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) findings by Dr. Lely Setyawati Kurniawan, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp.F.(K), M.H.Kes.
In the next session, the Coordinator of the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Dr. Luh Nyoman Alit Aryani, Sp.KJ., Subsp.Ad.(K), presented the profile and direction of the study program's development. This was followed by a presentation by the Departmental Junior Doctor, Dr. Ni Ketut Sri Dinari, Sp.KJ., Subsp.Ger.(K), who explained strengthening the development of junior doctors in the Department of Psychiatry.
The panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Anak Agung Ngurah Andika Damarnegara, Sp.KJ., was lively and interactive. Participants, including lecturers, residents, and representatives from network institutions, provided constructive input on curriculum refinement, improving the quality of educational services, and fostering synergy with network hospitals and other mental health service partners.
The entire workshop proceeded smoothly and with high enthusiasm, reflecting a shared commitment to realizing the Udayana University/Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital's Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, which is increasingly high-quality, adaptable to regulations, and responsive to the mental health needs of the community.
