Ethical Clearance Training and Standard Operating Procedures

The Health Research Ethics Commission of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Ahzar Islamic University, Mataram, held an online Ethical Clearance and Standard Operating Procedure training via the Webex Meeting Room.

Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) who was present online in his speech expressed his hope that this training can add insight and strengthen itself in providing scientific studies on the results of research conducted, so that the quality of scientific studies produced can be accounted for academically .

The purpose of this training is to enable participants to understand:

1. Regarding the Ethics Committee and ethical principles of health research;

2. Standard Operating Procedures (POB) of the Health Research Ethics Committee

3. Review of health research protocols (review of research methodologies, epidemiological research and use of secondary data, research involving animals and traditional medicine, clinical trial research, research involving susceptible subjects);

4. Consent after explanation/informed consent

5. Types and procedures of health research studies

6. Documentation and secretariat of the Research Ethics Committee

7. Review Health research protocols through protocol review simulations

8. Overview of the online-based review of the KE FK UNUD protocol review (MISTIK)
