Exploratory Collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) visited Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital to explore expanding collaboration with the hospital's educational network for students of the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program (BTKV) in the even semester of 2025/2026 at Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital. The visit was led by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, accompanied by the Coordinator and Team of the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit. This exploratory visit discussed technical aspects related to sending students to fulfill the competency requirements for Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist at Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital.

The visit was received directly by the Director of RSBM, Dr. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Putra Dharma Jaya, M.Kes., expressed his appreciation for the visit from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) and expressed his full support for the planned deployment of BTKV students, hoping to improve the quality of healthcare services at RSBM. Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude for the support and collaboration with RSBM. He then delivered brief remarks from the Heads of the Medical Staff Groups (KSM) for Surgery, Anesthesia, and Cardiology at RSBM.

The event continued with a presentation of the study program profile by the Coordinator of the BTKV Specialist Study Program at FF Unud, Dr. dr. Ketut Putu Yasa, Sp.B., BTKV, Subsp. VE(K), FICS, FIATCVS. The Director of RSBM presented the RSBM profile and discussed technical aspects of the collaboration. The event continued with a hospital and facility tour.

The team from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University who attended were representatives from the BTKV Specialist Study Program, Dr. dr. I Nyoman Semadi, Sp.B., Sp.BTKV., Subsp.VE(K), along with the study program staff and residents concerned, and accompanied by the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS), Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked, M.Kes. along with staff. The team from RSBM who also attended were the Head of the RSBM Medical Services Division, accompanied by the Head of the RSBM Kordik Team, Dr. dr. Ni Nyoman Ayu Sutrini, M.Repro,Sp.DVE, Head of KSM Anesthesia, Head of KSM Cardiology and Head of KSM Surgery, along with the Legal Team and Kordik Team of Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital.
