Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Fiscal Year 2027 Development Planning Meeting

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) for the 2027 Fiscal Year (FY). This meeting took place in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, Faculty of Medicine Building, Denpasar. (July 14, 2026).

The Musrenbang was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp. Onk. Ort R (K), accompanied by the Vice Deans and attended by Study Program Coordinators, Unit Coordinators, Administrative Coordinators, and Sub-Coordinators within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The main objective of the Musrenbang (Development Planning Meeting) for the 2027 FY was to align, formulate, and agree on work program priorities, budgets, and operational strategies. This strategic forum serves to synergize the faculty's academic targets with the needs of the faculty, study programs, and units.

The event began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K). He directed the faculty to produce a program and budget plan aligned with the Faculty of Medicine's vision and the unique characteristics of tourism, based on data, real needs, performance indicators, and readiness for execution. Prioritizing strategic capital expenditures of at least 70%, limiting activity expenditures to a maximum of 30%, adhering to the principles of efficiency and impact, and supporting academic services, accreditation, research, community service, and international competitiveness.

With the full budget submitted upfront, the rectorate expected the Faculty of Medicine to manage the funds effectively without requesting additional funds midway. In response, the Faculty immediately held a Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) to develop a fund management strategy, including for specialist doctor programs and strategic collaborations, to continuously improve the faculty's performance going forward.

The event continued with a discussion session and ended with the submission of the 2027 budget ceiling document to the Study Program Coordinators and Unit Coordinators.
