FK Unud Holds Guest Lecture on Mental Disorders and Socio-Cultural Aspects of Alcohol in Bali
In order to improve the competence and knowledge of the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD) regarding mental disorders and the relationship between alcohol and socio-cultural aspects in Bali, the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program and the Master of Public Health Study Program, FK UNUD held a hybrid Guest Lecture with the main location located in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. Moderated by dr. Putu Aryani, S.Ked., MIH., Sp.KKLP, this guest lecture presented two speakers, namely:
Florin Cristea, M.A., from the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Freie University Berlin and University of Munster, Germany with the topic Global Moral Worlds and The Psychiatric Experience in Severe Mental Disorder in Bali and Java
Dr. dr. Nyoman Alit Ariani, Sp.KJ(K)., from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University with the topic of Socio-cultural and Spiritual Aspect of Smoking and Alcoholic Addiction in Bali.
Attended by undergraduate and master's students who attended both offline and online, this event was officially opened by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes. In this guest lecture, the problems of mental disorders in Bali and Java were explained as well as a discussion of the socio-cultural aspects of cigarette and alcohol addiction in Bali.
This Guest Lecture is expected to be a forum for exchanging knowledge in overcoming the problems of mental disorders and addiction in society, as well as being a gateway for other cooperation and collaboration with Freie University Berlin and the University of Munster to increase the internationalization of institutions.
