Global Health Challenges in the Digital Era: Pathways to Advancing Research

The Undergraduate Program in Public Health (PSSKM), in collaboration with the Master of Public Health Program (PSMIKM), Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a guest lecture entitled "Global Health Challenges in the Digital Era: Pathways to Advancing Research." This event took place in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, 4th Floor, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Building, Jalan P.B. Sudirman, Denpasar. (February 11, 2026)

This event was part of the GlobeHeal Pre-Conference Engagement series in collaboration with TIIKM (The International Institute of Knowledge Management). The guest lecture featured five expert speakers from various international universities:

1. Dr. Vincent La Placa (University of Greenwich, England)

2. Dr. Julia Morgan (University of Greenwich, England)

3. Dr. Makhutsisa Charlotte Mokoatle (University of Johannesburg, South Africa)

4. Dr. Erwin Cadorna (University of Northern Philippines, Philippines)

5. Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, S.Ked., MPH, Ph.D. (Udayana University)

The guest lecture was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K)., who in his remarks expressed his deep appreciation to the speakers and TIIKM (The International Institute of Knowledge Management) for this international collaboration. He hopes that through this guest lecture, students and researchers at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, can broaden their knowledge of global health challenges in the digital era and strengthen their research capacity at the international level.

The guest lecture was attended by student representatives from undergraduate to postgraduate levels, as well as lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine. Following presentations by the speakers, the event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session. The event concluded with a university visit and networking session to strengthen academic collaboration between Udayana University and partner universities from the UK, South Africa, and the Philippines.
