The Hippocrates Medical Championship (HMC) in 2020 carries the theme “Inside Out – Non Communicable Disease: Mentally and Physically In-hausted” with the jargon “Resolve the Enigma, Break the Stigma”. HMC 2020 is a national level competition event and a forum for high school students to show off in terms of mastery of material in the fields of biology, physics, chemistry and basic medicine while still paying attention to sportsmanship based on culture. The purpose of holding HMC 2020 is to be able to produce superior seeds that can spearhead changes in the future. It is also hoped that students will be able to broaden their horizons without just being fixated on the knowledge provided at educational institutions, so that in the end they will be able to bring about change for themselves, the surrounding environment, and the wider community later.

The preliminary round will be held on February 2, 2020 in 9 regions registered this year simultaneously. The regions included in the offline HMC 2020 region are Bali, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java (DIY), East Java (Malang), East Java (Surabaya), NTT, North Sulawesi, and the online region. This year's theme raised the issue of mental health supported by a more in-depth seminar on Insecurity. The preliminary round will be followed by a semifinal round consisting of rally activities on February 15, 2020 and then ends with a final and grand final to determine the winner of the HMC 2020 race.
