HIV/AIDS Socialization and Mobile Health Services in Bresela Village, Payangan, Gianyar
The Siskamling (Neighborhood Watch) and Roadshow activities are part of the Community Service Division of the Semi-Autonomous Body (BSO) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the AIDS Care Student Group (KMPA). These activities aim to increase public knowledge and awareness about HIV/AIDS and the importance of maintaining good health.
This program consists of two main series of activities: the Roadshow and Siskamling (HIV/AIDS Socialization and Mobile Health Services).
The first series, the Roadshow, was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at SMPN Hindu 3 Blahbatuh and SMPN 2 Gianyar. This activity targeted junior high school students through HIV/AIDS education delivered in an interactive and fun way. KMPA, FK Unud, collaborated with Girls' Act to provide resource persons to the participants. Education was provided through presentation sessions, discussions, and various activities that encouraged active student participation in understanding HIV/AIDS. In closing, participants also participated in art therapy activities as a means to express their understanding and reinforce the material presented.
Next, the second series, Siskamling (HIV/AIDS Socialization and Mobile Health Services), was held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Wantilan Jaba Pura Agung Gunung Mas Merenteng, Ian Puseh Village, Bresela Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. The activity began with an opening ceremony attended by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked., M.Kes., the Head of Bresela Village, the Bendesa Adat of Bresela Village, all Bresela Village officials, representatives of the heads of institutions within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, the committee, volunteers, and the community.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked., M.Kes. expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity and emphasized the importance of providing correct, accurate, and science-based HIV/AIDS education to prevent misconceptions in the community. He also encouraged all parties to work together to reduce the stigma against people living with HIV (PLHIV) through appropriate and sustainable education.
During the Siskamling (Neighborhood Watch) activity, HIV/AIDS education was provided to the Sekaa Teruna Teruni (STT) from three hamlets in Bresela Village. In addition to the presentation of material and an interactive discussion on HIV/AIDS, participants also participated in a condom use simulation as a form of education on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention. This activity also included free health services in the form of blood pressure and blood sugar checks for the community.
As a direct approach to the community, the committee also conducted door-to-door visits to 15 homes. During these visits, residents received HIV/AIDS education and health services, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, directly at their homes.
The series of activities concluded with the distribution of basic food supplies to those in need as a form of social care and support for the welfare of Bresela Village residents.
