Harmoni Indonesia was held simultaneously in 49 cities spread across 34 provinces on August 5, 2018. This event was the idea of President Ir. H. Joko Widodo in commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of Indonesia and the 2018 Asian Games. Udayana University, which is one of the gathering points in Bali, carried out this activity at the Rectorate of Udayana University, Jimbaran.

Thousands of participants from various elements thronged the rectorate environment, as well as various activities that began with the 100-meter stretching of the Red and White Flag in the courtyard of the Unud Rectorate Building, and the release of red and white balloons into the air. The highlight of the event continued at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building which was filled with live conference shows singing the national anthem and songs of struggle simultaneously. The event was also enlivened by a Band Performance from the Faculty of Medicine, Poetry Reading by Prof. DR. Dr. Wimpie Pangkahila, SpAnd, FAACS, Regional Clothing Parade and Poetry Musicalization by students of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University.

Udayana University Chancellor Prof. Dr. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) as the chairman of the committee explained that through this event it is hoped that it can deepen the meaning of nationality with four pillars that must be interpreted, firstly Pancasila, secondly the 1945 Constitution, thirdly Unity in Diversity. These three pillars will strengthen the fourth pillar in order to strengthen the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. By upholding the values of unity and being able to live in harmony among others. August is a month full of meaning. We hope that by holding this event, we can strengthen unity and unity to knit and strengthen nationality.
