Wednesday, January 21, 2022.

The Regent of Kaimana West Papua paid a visit to the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University, following up on a previous meeting on October 15, 2021, to discuss cooperation in the area of sending independent residents to provide specialist services in the Kaimana area of West Papua, which is located in Prof. Room. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah (21/1/2022).

Freddy Thie (Kaimana Regent), Dian Rosmala (Special Staff for the Kaimana Regent for Government Affairs), and Abul Nizam Alzanzami (Special Staff for the Kaimana Regent for Communication and Information) from the Kaimana Regional Government of West Papua were greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Ke The Dean stated that this was the second meeting in which the relationship between the Faculty of Medicine and the Kaimana Regional Government would be discussed in greater depth.

Internally, a meeting was held with the Study Program Coordinators, who will subsequently send senior residents to Kaimana Regency to help with community health services. As discussed at the previous meeting, as a medical education institution, it has a responsibility to assist in the distribution of health services, particularly in underserved areas, and as an educational institution, it needs vehicles to mature residents as candidates for specialist doctors, so this collaboration will, of course, benefit both parties the most. "Let us collectively safeguard this collaboration in the expectation that, in the future, it will not only be in the field of sending residents, but also in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, namely education, research, and community service," Dr. January added.

The program was followed by a panel discussion and ended with a group shot.
