The Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held an Educational Workshop at the Prime Plaza Hotel on April 11, 2026. This Educational Workshop served as a forum for strategic discussions on the development of education for Residents of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Study Program.
The Educational Workshop was attended by the President Director of Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma, S.Kp., M.Kes.; the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K).; the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University; Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D.; the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M); Dr. dr. I Wayan Juli Sumadi, S.Ked., Sp.P.A., Subsp.M.S.(K), and representatives from network hospitals.
This workshop comprehensively discussed various important aspects, from curriculum evaluation and development, strategic planning, and adjusting the study program's vision and mission to align with the dynamics of medical education and current healthcare needs.
Participants from both educational institutions and network hospitals provided various constructive input, reflecting strong collaboration in improving the quality of orthopedic education and services. The discussion also highlighted the importance of learning innovation, strengthening competency-based education systems, and adapting to technological and regulatory developments.
This educational workshop is expected to achieve a more structured, adaptive, and sustainable development direction to produce superior Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialists who are relevant to future challenges.
