OSCE Competency Test Standard Patient Examiner and Trainer Training
The Skills Lab Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a training for OSCE Competency Test Standard Patient Examiners and Trainers. The training took place on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the NA Bagiada Meeting Room and I Ketut Suata Meeting Room, Cakra Vidhya Usadha Building, Faculty of Medicine. (September 26, 2025)
The training featured two speakers from the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI): Dr. Nanang Wiyono, M.Kes. (Sebelas Maret University) and Dr. Nelly Al Audhah, M.Sc. (Lambung Mangkurat University). The event was opened by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, M.Kes.
This training is a routine annual activity held by the Skills Lab Unit to improve the competency of educators in examining and training standard patients for the OSCE competency test for medical students. The training consisted of two sessions: the first session, which featured material delivered by the resource persons, and the second session, which included an OSCE exam simulation. The OSCE simulation involved the same components as the actual OSCE competency test: standardized patients, laboratory technicians, and IT personnel. The simulation was attended by students who would be taking the next UK OSCE exam.
This training is expected to increase the number of qualified lecturers to serve as examiners and trainers for standardized patients, while also supporting the implementation of the UK OSCE at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
