PACE National Seminar: Preventive Strategies, Advanced Assessment, and Comprehensive Emergency Care in Running Medicine
The Janar Dūta Medical Assistance Team (TBM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, successfully held the 2026 National Seminar with the theme "PACE: Preventive Strategies, Advanced Assessment, and Comprehensive Emergency Care in Running Medicine." The event was held as a hybrid session, with the main venue being the Dr. A. A. Made Djelantik Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar, on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The event began with remarks and the official opening by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, S.Ked., MPH., Ph.D., marked by the striking of a gong three times.
In his remarks, Prof. Ady expressed his appreciation for the 2026 TBM Janar Dūta National Seminar. He emphasized that with the growing trend of running among the public, understanding injury prevention and emergency management is crucial. Therefore, he hoped that all participants, both students and the general public, would absorb the knowledge provided and implement it to achieve safe and healthy sports activities.
This National Seminar featured four highly competent speakers in the fields of sports medicine and physiology: Dr. Indira Vidiari Juhanna, M.Fis, who presented "The Physiology of Running," Dr. Adrian Purwadihardja, Sp.KO, who presented "Metabolic Dynamics & Systemic Health in Running," Dr. Febianto Nurmansyach, SpKO, who discussed "Running Emergencies & Traumatology," and Dr. Made Dwi Puja Setiawan, Sp.K.F.R., M.Ked.Klin., AIFO-K., delivered the topic "Clinical Training Programming, Recovery Medicine & Injury Prevention in Runners."
The presentation and interactive discussion were expertly guided by two moderators: Dr. I Gusti Agung Dwi Pradnyana, S.Ked., AIFO-K, and Dr. Ni Wayan Evita Pradnya Dharmesti.
Through comprehensive presentations, covering physiology and metabolic dynamics, injury prevention, and emergency management in running, the 2026 Janar Dūta TBM National Seminar is expected to enhance the knowledge and preparedness of medical personnel, students, and the general public in fostering safe, healthy, and sustainable running trends.
