PKB IKA XXII

Friday, March 26, 2021

Awareness of sepsis which can increase mortality requires the ability of health workers to make an immediate diagnosis and treatment. Health service facilities and skills of health workers in Indonesia to manage sepsis, especially in peripheral areas are still limited and varied. Severe sepsis and septic shock are one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality (60%) in children admitted to the intensive care unit.

Based on these conditions, the Department/KSM of Pediatrics FK Unud/RSUP Sanglah organized Continuing Medical Education (PKB) IKA XXII with the topic "Sepsis From A to Z"

The purpose of holding PKB IKA XXII is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of medical personnel so that they can provide optimal and integrated services to the community.

Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) who on this occasion was present virtually in his speech said “Hopefully this PKB will thoroughly explore sepsis both in terms of diagnostics and treatment. Of course it will also be related to how we can provide services to patients so that we can save the condition of patients who already have sepsis. Even further is how we prevent patients from falling into a state of sepsis.” He said in his speech.

This time the PKB IKA XXII is held in 3 (three) series, namely Series I 26 & 27 March 2021, Series II 1 & 3 April 2021, and Series III 9 & 10 April 2021.

Series I this time was also attended by the Director of Human Resources and Education at Sanglah Hospital, Chair of IDI for the Bali region, Chair of IDI Denpasar branch, Chair of IDAI Bali, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at FK Unud/RSUP Sanglah, and Coordinator of the Child Health Sciences study program.
