In commemoration of World Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10th, the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University - Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, held a series of activities entitled "Run for Mental Health and Find Your PACE (Peace, Acceptance, Calmness, Endurance)." This activity was held to demonstrate awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health amidst the dynamics of modern life, especially for the academic community and the general public. The event took place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in front of the Cakra Vidya Usadha (CVU) Building, Udayana University, Denpasar. (12/10/2025)
The event began with a report from the Chair of the Committee, Dr. Ni Made Leni, Sp.K.J., explained that the event was a lively one, with a total of 233 participants, consisting of students, lecturers, educational staff, alumni, and the general public. It was also attended by Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma, S.Kp., M.Kes., Director of Operational Services at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, who represented the President Director of Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R (K), who in his remarks stated that this event was an important opportunity to raise awareness about mental health.
The event culminated with several agendas including: Run for Mental Health, Zumba, Health Services, and Mental Health Counseling. A Health Talk was also held under the title "Mental Health First Aid in Disasters and Emergencies" with I Gusti Ayu Indah Ardani, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp.A.R.(K) as the speaker.
At the conclusion of the event, the committee presented awards to the three fastest male and three female runners as a token of appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Door prizes were also awarded to lucky participants. This event was made possible thanks to the support of various parties, including Suzuki, Rajaboga, Novell, Pharos, Hot In Cream, Anlene, the Bali Regional Development Bank, Prodia, Fithub, NgoerahSun Wellness & Aesthetic Center, PT. Rohto Laboratories Indonesia, and the Kamadhuk Civil Servant Cooperative.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the public will gain a better understanding that mental health is not just about survival, but also about creating a meaningful and balanced life (creating peace within).
