SARS Cov-2 Sero-survey Research in Bali Province

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (KMKP) of the Faculty of Medicine Unud in collaboration with the Ministry of Health conducted a population-based sero-survey to determine the prevalence of SARS-Cov-2 virus infection in Bali Province.

To expedite the research process, today at Dr. AA Made Djelantik (4/11/2020), Department of KMKP FK Unud held a meeting with stakeholders in Denpasar City. The meeting which was attended by Village Heads, Heads of Environment, Heads of Health Centers, Head of Denpasar City Health Office, Perbekels, Heads of Heads of Denpasar Sub-districts was aimed at socializing the Sero-survey research plan and technical implementation in the field.

The technical explanation of the research in this meeting was delivered directly by the Head of the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (KMKP) FK Unud, Dr. dr. Anak Agung Sagung Sawitri, MPH

Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) who was present at this meeting in his remarks said that the prevalence data used in this study will later play a role in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 so that Bali Province can soon be free from Covid-19.

He also asked for support and assistance from all stakeholders to collaborate together to play an active role in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
