Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Holds 2026 Facilities and Infrastructure Hearing

The Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, through the Aspiration and Advocacy Commission, held the 2026 Facilities and Infrastructure Hearing in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

This forum served as an official dialogue between the DPM, representing students, and the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, to discuss various issues related to academic facilities that support the learning process. This hearing also served as part of efforts to strengthen communication between students and faculty in creating a safe, comfortable, and representative academic environment.

The event began with a presentation by a representative of the DPM regarding the results of monitoring facilities and infrastructure in several undergraduate study programs within the Faculty. In their presentation, the Student Representative Council (DPM) outlined several key issues requiring attention, including the condition of toilet and sanitation facilities, classroom maintenance, air conditioning and lighting, the availability of learning support facilities, internet network connectivity, and the condition of several parts of the building and other supporting areas.

These findings are considered to impact student comfort, the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, environmental cleanliness, and the overall quality of academic services. The DPM FK Unud also provided several recommendations for improvement for the faculty to consider in determining priority follow-up actions according to the urgency and needs of each unit.

The audience was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K), Subsp.Onk.Ort.(R).; the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning and Acting Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked., M.Kes.; The Coordinator of Administration, Ni Ketut Dewi Megawati, SH., MH.; the Sub-Coordinators; and the Coordinators of Undergraduate Study Programs within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The presence of these various leadership elements reflected a shared commitment to following up on student aspirations and strengthening the governance of facilities and infrastructure within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. In an open discussion atmosphere, each party was given the opportunity to express their views, clarify their opinions, and provide follow-up plans on the various issues raised.

This audience was based on field monitoring conducted by the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University's Student Representative Council (DPM), regarding the condition of the faculty's facilities and infrastructure. The various inputs gathered from students were then compiled into comprehensive discussion material. The focus of the discussion not only highlighted facilities in need of improvement but also examined their impact on comfort, safety, learning effectiveness, and the quality of academic services.

Through this forum, the DPM, Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine, continues to fulfill its student representation and advocacy function by encouraging policies that are responsive to academic needs. The 2026 Facilities and Infrastructure Hearing was also part of the 2026 Student Affairs, Learning, and Academic Facilities Hearing series organized by the Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

It is hoped that the results of the discussions will serve as a basis for prioritizing improvements and development of facilities within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This will ensure a more comfortable, safe, and high-quality learning environment for all students and the FK Unud academic community.
