The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University Participates in the Accelerated Program to Improve Access and Quality of Medical Personnel Education through the Academic Health System (AHS) Partnership Strategy
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) officially launched the Accelerated Program to Improve Access and Quality of Medical Personnel Education through the Academic Health System (AHS) Partnership Strategy to improve access and quality of higher education for medical and healthcare professionals. The Accelerated Program for the Fulfillment and Distribution of Doctors and Specialists through the Academic Health System embodies the President's directive to emphasize the importance of expanding access and accelerating the fulfillment of medical and healthcare professionals, particularly specialist and subspecialist doctors. Furthermore, this activity is part of the Impactful Higher Education, Science, and Technology strategic program, as outlined in the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology's Strategic Plan, and also an implementation of Law Number 17 of 2023 and Government Regulation Number 28 of 2024.
The program launch was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek), the Deputy Ministers of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Wamendiktisaintek), the Deputy Minister of Health, the Director General of Regional Development Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Director General of Human Resources for Health at the Ministry of Health, the Governor of South Kalimantan, the Governor of North Sumatra, the Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi, the Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi, the Deputy Governor of Aceh, the Deputy Governor of Lampung, the Head of the Indonesian Army Health Center, the Head of the Indonesian Air Force Health Service, the Head of the Indonesian Navy Health Service, the Head of the Indonesian National Police Medical and Health Center, the Secretary of the Indonesian National Police Medical and Health Center, as well as other partners from universities, teaching hospitals, local governments, and private partners (Academic Health System).
The launch was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., and the Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Prof. Dr. dr. Desak Made Wihandani, M.Kes.
The launch event coincided with the inauguration of the Central Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI) for the 2025-2028 period. From the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, three members of the board were appointed: the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., in the Academic Health System (AHS) and Teaching Hospital Development Division; the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., from the Specialist/Subspecialist Competency Test Management Consortium Sub-Division, and Prof. Dr. dr. Desak Made Wihandani, M.Kes., from the Student Competency Test & Institutional Assessment Strengthening Sub-Division, were present.
Following the inauguration of the Central Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI) for the 2025-2028 period, a working meeting of the AIPKI Central Executive Board was held at Trisakti University, the host university.
