Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Alumni Talk
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held an Alumni Talk as part of the 64th anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Medicine's Family Council (BKFK). This event served as a platform to strengthen the relationship between faculty leaders and alumni from various generations. The event took place in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, fourth floor, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, on Friday, March 13, 2026.
The alumni talk was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as well as alumni representatives from various generations, from the earliest to the newest generations. The alumni came from various medical professions and institutions, including hospitals, health services, educational institutions, private clinics, healthcare business owners, and medical practitioners in various regions. The presence of these alumni reflects the extensive network of Udayana University Faculty of Medicine graduates who are active in various healthcare sectors.
In the main session, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K), delivered a presentation on the current status and developments of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. In his presentation, the Dean outlined the various achievements of the faculty, developments in education, research, and community service, as well as the challenges faced in managing medical education in this ever-evolving era. The presentation also touched on the importance of synergy between the faculty and alumni as part of efforts to strengthen the institution's position at the national and international levels.
On this occasion, the Dean was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Acting Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, S.Ked., M.P.H., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked, M.Kes., who also provided additional explanations regarding various aspects of faculty management, including academic development, educational governance, support for student activities and strengthening the alumni network.
Following the presentations, the event continued with an open discussion. The alumni in attendance actively shared their views, experiences, and suggestions, which they hoped would inform the future development of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The discussion took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the emotional closeness between alumni and their alma mater. The various inputs provided by the alumni will be collected and summarized separately for consideration in future institutional development efforts.
This event was a synergy between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the 64th BKFK Committee. The coordinating lecturer was Dr. dr. I Gusti Nyoman Darmaputra, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp.O.B.K., FINSDV, FAADV. The event was moderated by representatives of the Udayana University Alumni Association (Ikayana) FK Commissariat, Dr. I Made Oka Negara, S.Ked., M.Biomed, FIAS. The event's introduction stated that the alumni discussion forum aims to foster more intensive communication between the faculty and alumni, allowing alumni to learn about the institution's latest developments and provide insights and input for the future advancement of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
To conclude the event, a memento was presented, a painting created from an old photograph of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The painting, by Dr. Bagus Darmayasa, M.Repro, was presented to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as a symbol of appreciation and remembrance of the collaboration. It will be displayed in the Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University.
