Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Collaborates with Stanford University to Hold Visiting Lecture

The Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah General Hospital, and Stanford University held a Visiting Lecture for students in the Pediatrics Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

This visiting lecture is a collaboration between the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah General Hospital, and Stanford University. It was initiated by Dr. dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A(K) from the ETIA Division of the Pediatrics Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital.

The lecture took place over one day, on Monday, September 29, 2025, in a hybrid format (offline and online) in the Prof. Sudaryat Main Room, Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah General Hospital. I G. N. G. Ngoerah from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM WITA. There were 70 participants.

The first presentation was delivered by Dr. dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A(K), on the topic "Overview of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Neuroprotection Aspects." This was followed by Prof. dr. Budi Wiryawan, Stanford University, who presented two presentations: "Post-Cardiac Arrest Care in Children" and "Pediatric Resuscitation." The final session featured a case presentation by Dr. dr. I Nyoman Budi Hartawan, M.Sc, Sp.A(K).

After each speaker's presentation, a question-and-answer session ensued. Participants enthusiastically asked each speaker questions. The visiting lecture included a dry workshop. At the end of the event, Dr. dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A(K) presented 10 copies of Oxygen Therapy Monographs to the 10 participants who actively participated in the lecture. Certificates of appreciation were presented to all speakers by Dr. Ni Putu Siadi Purniti, Sp.A(K), the deputy coordinator of the Pediatrics Specialist Study Program.

This program will be conducted regularly, including case report presentations, visiting lectures, research collaborations in pediatric emergency and intensive care, and a return visit to Stanford University within the next three years.
