The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University (FK Unud) proudly graduated 221 prospective graduates. The graduation ceremony was held at the Widya Sabha Building, Bukit Campus, Jimbaran. (October 23, 2025)
The graduation ceremony for the October 2025 prospective graduates was attended by the President Director of Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, represented by the Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research; the Director of Unud Hospital, represented by Dr. Ngakan Ketut Wira Suastika, M.Biomed, Sp.PD, KHOM; the Director of Unud Dental and Oral Hospital, Dr. drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG; the Chairperson of the Indonesian Dental Association (IDI) Bali, Prof. Dr. dr. The event was attended by Dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., the Chair of the Indonesian Medical Association (PDGI), represented by Dr. drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG; the Chair of the Indonesian Medical Association (PPNI), represented by Dr. Ns. Putu Oka Yuli Nurhesti, S.Kep., M.M., M.Kep.; the Chair of the Faculty of Medicine's Ikayana Commissariat, represented by Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.; the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University; the Study Program Coordinators; the KP3 Unit Coordinators; and all prospective graduates.
The event began with a graduation report from the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who presented the number of prospective graduates from each study program and the top graduates from each level of education.
For the October 2025 term, the best graduates were awarded to:
1. Dr. Komang Ardi Wahyuningsih, M.Biomed., from the Biomedical Sciences Doctoral Program
2. Ni Made Betti Ratricia Surya Dewi, S.KM., M.Kes., from the Public Health Master's Program
3. Dr. Daniel Mahendrakrisna, Sp.N., from the Neurology Specialist Program
4. Ns. Ni Wayan Regitha Widiastuti, S.Kep., from the Physician Profession Program
5. Shakira Jamil Achmawati Novel, S.Psi., from the Physiotherapy Undergraduate Program
The next event was the handover of graduates from the Study Program Coordinators to the Dean, followed by the recitation and signing of the oath of junior doctors with bachelor's degrees in medicine, dentistry, and nursing. The event continued with the symbolic presentation of junior doctors' coats and nurses' name tags. Following the presentation of doctor's coats and name tags, the ceremony continued with the recitation and signing of the oaths of profession for doctors, nurses, and dentists by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp.Onk. Ort.R(K)., accompanied by the Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Bali, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., the Indonesian Doctors Association (PPNI) representative, Dr. Ns. Putu Oka Yuli Nurhesti, S.Kep., M.M., M.Kep., the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI) representative, Dr. drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG. The oaths were also administered by clergy.
The graduation ceremony continued with the inauguration of the Specialist Doctors and Doctors by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp.Onk. Ort.R(K).
Following the inauguration, the ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates to the top graduates, followed by a farewell ceremony for the prospective graduates, followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research at Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital, Ken Wirianti, SE, MRM.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Eka, conveyed that today was a happy day for the prospective graduates. In two days, the graduates who had been released would move on to the next stage. These current and future graduates will become alumni and pursue employment in their respective fields. According to data from alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, the average employment rate is over 60% within six months of graduation. It is hoped that in the future, the percentage of alumni securing employment in their respective fields will increase, allowing them to dedicate themselves to the nation and the health sector. The alumni should not forget their alma mater. "said Prof. Eka.
"We sincerely hope that alumni will provide input for curriculum improvements within the study program and faculty. Without their input, we would be greatly challenged. Due to the rapid pace of innovation in the healthcare sector, alumni play a crucial role in contributing to their alma mater, ensuring that future graduates are accepted by their employers and the community," added Prof. Eka.
The event concluded with impressions and messages from representatives of prospective graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, for the October 2025 term.
