Visiting Professor: Chest Wall Reconstruction Techniques, Challenges, and Clinical Pearls

The Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a Visiting Professorship with the theme "Chest Wall Reconstruction Techniques, Challenges, and Clinical Pearls." The event took place in the Prof. Dr. I. Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Meeting Room, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar. (October 20, 2025)

The event began with remarks from the Coordinator of the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program, represented by Dr. I Putu Kokohana Arisutawan, Sp.BTKV, Subsp.VE(K), FIATCVS., and continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subs.Onk.Ort.R(K), who officially opened the event.

In his remarks, Prof. Eka expressed his gratitude to Prof. Wenlin Wang for his Visiting Professorship, explaining that his presence would enhance his knowledge and competence, enabling him to provide better services, particularly in cases of deformities and chest wall problems.

The Visiting Professorship featured Prof. Wenlin Wang from the Chest Wall Surgery Research Institute of Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital and was moderated by Dr. Ivan Joalsen Mangara Tua, Sp.BTKV., Subsp.VE(K)., McPhleb., MARS, from Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Regional General Hospital, Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

The Visiting Professorship included residents from the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program, residents from the Surgical Specialist Study Program, and junior doctors.
