World Cancer Day 2025 Peak Event Celebration

World Cancer Day Celebration (WCDC) 2025 is a series of activities held with the aim of being a form of celebration to commemorate World Cancer Day on February 4 every year. World Cancer Day Celebration 2025 carries the theme "Navigating Cancer Prevention and Resilience: The Role of Education and Survivors Unbreakable Spirit" which is a manifestation of the vision and mission of the Cancer Care Community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (Kompak FK Unud). The peak of the World Cancer Day Celebration 2025 event was held in Rooms 4.01 and 4.02, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. (February 4, 2025)

Held since January 24, 2025, the series of WCDC 2025 activities were carried out by conducting a social campaign held in three Senior High Schools (SMA), Niti Mandala Renon Field and Kompak Charity which targeted the Shelter for cancer survivors.

Attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes who also opened the peak event. In his speech, Prof. Januartha expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the committee who had worked hard to prepare a series of WCDC 2025 activities to commemorate World Cancer Day. "Through a preventive and promotive approach, Kompak FK Unud can be a pioneer in providing understanding to the public about the importance of cancer prevention through a healthy lifestyle in accordance with the meaning of this year's WCDC theme, namely becoming a pioneering agent in fighting cancer and the entire series of WCDC activities this year have succeeded in implementing the theme raised," he said.

In this peak event, Kompak FK Unud also gave awards to the winners of the educational photo and video competition. Also attending the event were the Kompak Advisor, dr. Ni Gusti Ayu Agung Manik Yuniawaty Wetan, Sp.B(K) Onk., Chairperson of BEM FK Unud, representatives from LMFK, HM, and BSO in the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Young Members and Core Members of Kompak FK Unud, along with the committee of the World Cancer Day Celebration 2025.
