Medical and Health Education

Department of Medical and Health Education (DPKK) is one of the departments within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD), which is the center of science and curriculum preparation in the field of medical education and health professions. The Department of Medical and Health Education FK UNUD actively conducts educational activities for Undergraduate Medical and Professional Doctor Study Programs (S1 level) as well as Masters study programs and Specialist Doctor Education (S2 level). DPKK FK Unud teaching staff are routinely involved in the education and teaching process in the Bachelor of Medicine and Professional Doctor Study Programs. In addition, DPKK FK Unud teaching staff are also involved as facilitators in other preclinical stage modules and resource persons related to the development of professionalism skills of medical students. The Department of Medical Education teaches one of a number of blocks in the Pre-Clinical Education Module which is carried out in the first semester, namely the Studium Generale and Humaniora Block. Studium Generale and Humanities Block is a course that aims to introduce the learning system in the Undergraduate Medical and Professional Doctor Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, which is given to first semester students at the beginning of odd semester lectures. This course contains several subjects including learning methods, learning strategies and learning environment, basic skills of medical academics, special skills of medical students, learning assessment, self-development and future profession, integrity as an academic, collaborative learning, research in education, and learning in the digital era.
