Faculty of Medicine Provides Mentoring Program for West Sumbawa Regency Health Office Work Plan Preparation
The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Regional Government of West Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), conducted training activities to improve the capacity of human resources in planning and developing the 2025 West Sumbawa Regency Health Office Work Plan.
This activity is part of a six-month mentoring process that includes various training activities, seminars/workshops, field visits, and assistance in the preparation of the 2025 West Sumbawa Regency Work Plan.
The current activity focuses on strengthening and coordinating cross-sector health program governance, with speakers including Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH., PhD., and Dr. Ketut Sutiari SKM., MSi. The event was also attended by the Ministry of Health Planning Bureau Team, Ms. Nur Auliah.
The mentoring team was chaired by Dr. Ketut Suarjana MPH, with team members Dr. Arya Utami, MPH., PhD., Putu Suaryani, SKM., M.DevHealth, and Dr. Made Kerta Duana, SKM., MPH.
The current mentoring program is aimed at strengthening cross-sectoral coordination and collaboration and finalizing the final draft of the 2025 West Sumbawa Regency Health Office's Strategic Plan and Work Plan.
The regional government, through the Head of the West Sumbawa Regency Health Office, expressed its gratitude for the mentoring program and expressed its appreciation for the various activities implemented, resulting in a robust and high-quality draft Work Plan. This activity is also highly beneficial for improving human resource capacity and fostering synergy and collaboration between sectors and institutions in health development.
Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, also the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, emphasized the importance of multi-stakeholder involvement and program synergy across various health issues using the Pentahelix and One Health approaches.
Dr. Ketut Sutiari also emphasized the effectiveness of cross-sectoral collaboration in stunting control programs, which have proven effective in various regions.
The mentoring activity went well and ended with a presentation of the results of the cross-sector follow-up plan discussion by representatives of each group.
