The Pediatric Health Specialist Study Program (IKA) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) Bali Branch held Continuing Medical Education (PKB) IKA XXVIII, entitled "Improving Disease Management and Guidelines for Effective Pediatric Care in the JKN Era" on July 4-5, 2025, which took place at the Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur Denpasar.
This activity is designed to provide updates and improve the competence of pediatricians, general practitioners, and related medical personnel, in facing the challenges of the National Health Insurance (JKN). Focusing on improving the standards of child services, this event is expected to be a real impetus in improving pediatric services in the JKN era. For this reason, this activity has included speakers from leading institutions from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, as well as national experts from JKN. Consisting of a symposium with 14 interesting topics from the sub-division of child health science and 2 workshops, namely the neonatal workshop and nutrition workshop in collaboration with the ENT and medical rehabilitation divisions.
This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., who in his speech conveyed his appreciation and long-term hopes from PKB IKA XXVIII to improve the standard of handling children's diseases in primary and secondary facilities and strengthen referral coordination and collaboration between professions in the JKN network. Also present were the heads of IDI Bali, IDI Denpasar, and IDAI Bali. Participants came from general practitioners, pediatricians, and medical personnel from Bali and outside Bali. Overall, this activity emphasized a shared commitment to building better, equal, and quality child health services.
