Developing International Cooperation, FK Unud Plans Specialist Specified Training (SST) Program in Psychiatry with RANZCP-University of Melbourne.
In order to develop international cooperation between institutions, the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University (FK Unud) through the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning FK UNUD Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT (K) received the presence of A / Prof. Raju Lakshmana from RANZCP-University of Melbourne in the framework of the preparation of the Specialist Specified Training (SST) Program in Psychiatry. The meeting which was held in the Dean's Conference Room, FK Unud Denpasar Building was also attended by Dr. dr. Luh Nyoman Alit Aryani, Sp.KJ (K) as Korprodi Specialist in Mental Medicine FK UNUD and Dr. dr. Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, Sp.KJ (K), MARS as Head of the Division of Cultural Psychiatry, as well as Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked, M.Kes., as Coordinator of the FK UNUD Information Management and Cooperation Unit. (Thursday, August 8, 2024)
This program aims to open up opportunities for young mental health specialist and psychiatrist education participants from Udayana University to learn and develop knowledge in the field of psychiatry, and also to gain clinical practice experience abroad. The program also offers the opportunity to develop Telemedicine for Tourism between Udayana University and the University of Melbourne. The SST program is planned to start by sending one participant for 1 year, and it is expected that each year Udayana University can send participants on an ongoing basis. It is expected that this program can begin in early 2025.
Through the planning of this program, Dr. Cokorda Bagus together with Prof. Raju have also attempted to establish the Initiation of Cooperation and Research in the Field of Telehealth Models for Perinatal Mental Health through the Development and Management of Research Centers and Service Centers Grant program from LPPM UNUD.
