FK Unud Collaborates with PDKI Bali to Hold Bali Family Medicine Update 2024 Seminar
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University through the Center for Public Health Innovation in collaboration with the Bali branch of PDKI held a Bali Family Medicine Update 2024 seminar with the theme "Integrated Palliative Care for Catastrophic Diseases at Primary Care Level: Bridging Family Medicine, Mental Health and Trend of Traditional Medicine Utilization" which took place in the Dr. AA Made Djelantik room, FK Unud Building, Denpasar. (10/28/2024)
The seminar participants came from PDKI, General Practitioners, Specialist Program Students (PPDS), CPHI., General Medicine Students, and Public Health Students. Moderated by dr. Wayan Citra Wulan Sucipta Putri, MPH., Sp.KKLP., Sub.Sp.FOMC., and Dr. dr. Putu Aryani, MIH., Sp.KKLP., Sub.Sp.COPC., this seminar presents six (6) speakers, namely:
1. Prof. Shailendra Prasad, MD., MPH. from the University of Minnesota with the material Role of Family Doctor in Filling the Gap of Integrated Palliative Care Primary Care Level in Indonesia
2. Prof. Dr. dr. Sri Andarini, M.Kes., Sp.KKLP. Sub.Sp.COPC. from the Indonesian Family Medicine College (KIKKI) with the material Education Level and Career Opportunities for Sp.KKLP. related to the Integration of Palliative Services at the Primary Care Level.
3. Prof. Dr. AA Ngurah Anom Kumbara, MA with the material Socio-Cultural Approach to Dealing with Traditional and Spiritual Treatment Trends in Patients Undergoing Palliative Care.
4 Dr.dr. Bayu Mahendra, Sp.OG.(K) with the material The Role of Family Doctors in Answering the Challenges of Holistic Palliative Care in Cervical Cancer Patients.
5. Dr. dr. Desak Ketut Indrasari Utami, Sp.S.(K) with the material Role and Support of Family Doctors in Holistic Palliative Care for Stroke Patients.
6. Dr. dr. A.A. Sri Wahyuni, Sp.KJ. with the material Role of Family Doctors in Early Detection and Management of Mental Disorders in Patients Undergoing Palliative Therapy
This event was opened by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., who in his speech said that currently Udayana University through the Faculty of Medicine has also formed a Task Force for the establishment of a Family Medicine Specialist Study Program and Primary Care, this is an active effort from Udayana University in meeting the need for Family Medicine Specialists and Primary Care Doctors, which are currently still limited in number
"With the Bali Family Medicine Update activity, it is hoped that it can be a trigger that initiates active efforts by universities to support and strengthen the role of family doctors in providing comprehensive and sustainable services," he said.
This seminar was also attended by the Secretary of the PDKI Central Management, Dr. Novana Perdana Putri, Sp. KKLP, Chairperson of the Bali IDI Region Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office represented by Dr. Putu Camellia, M.Kes., Dean of the FK Unud Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M. Kes., Chairperson of CPHI, Prof. dr. Pande Putu Januraga, M.Kes., DrPH., Chairperson of the Bali Branch of PDKI and Chairperson of the Bali Family Medicine Update Committee Dr. dr.
