In-Diverse Community Service 2025 "From Dreams to Hopes: Exploring Self-Potential through Inclusive and Collaborative Growth Spaces"

The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held the Inclusivity Diverse Community Service 2025 on Friday, August 15, 2025, at SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar, Bali.

In-Diverse Community Service is a function of the Psychology Student Association, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, which focuses on inclusivity and building harmonious relationships between psychology students and children with special needs in Indonesia. The activity consisted of two main components: the Training for Trainers (TFT) on Friday, August 8, 2025, attended by Ida Ayu Gede Kusumaastuti Widihapsari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, as a speaker and lecturer from the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, to provide material on inclusivity, interests and talents, and caregiving. The event then continued with the main event, held on August 15, 2025, at SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar.

The main event opened with remarks from the Psychology Study Program Coordinator, Luh Kadek Pande Ary Susilawati, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psikolog., who expressed her hope that this activity would benefit both the students and their parents. Next, remarks were given by the Head of In-Diverse Community Service, Ayu Kadek Keisya Sattvika Dharma, who expressed her hope that this activity would have a positive impact on students, especially those in junior high and high school, and that the lessons learned could be applied in their daily lives.
"We hope that today's activity will have a positive impact on students, especially those in junior high and high school, as well as on teachers and parents. These lessons can also be applied in their daily lives, benefiting themselves and others," added Kadek Keisya.

The next remarks were delivered by the Principal of SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar, Ni Wayan Rapyianti, S.Pd., who expressed her gratitude and appreciation for her school being chosen as the location for the activity. She stated that the school greatly benefited from the outreach regarding interests and talents, as this is a crucial need for students, teachers, and parents.

The culminating event included a socialization session divided into two target groups. For junior high and high school students, the outreach was delivered by Ida Ayu Gede Kusumaastuti Widihapsari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, on the topic "Interests, Talents, and Goals." In this session, she encouraged students to recognize their potential, build self-confidence, and dare to dream and try new things to achieve their goals. In addition to educational activities, this activity also included a talent and interest mentoring session for students at SLBN 2 Denpasar. Volunteers helped students explore their potential through creative and interactive activities, including dream roleplays and acrylic tote bag painting.

Meanwhile, for teachers and parents, a socialization session was delivered by Luh Kadek Pande Ary Susilawati, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist. The material focused on the important role of educators and parents in supporting children with special needs, emphasizing how to recognize children's potential, interests, and talents so they can develop optimally according to their unique abilities.

As a form of concern, this activity also included a donation of stationery, learning supplies, and educational games that can support children's motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development. The donation was symbolically handed over by the committee to the school, accompanied by the presentation of a certificate of appreciation for the activity partners to SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar. This donation is expected to support teaching and learning activities and foster the development of the interests and talents of the children at SLBN 2 Denpasar.

The event was attended by enthusiastic participants from students, teachers, and parents. Through the 2025 In-Diverse Community Service Program, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University's Undergraduate Psychology Program reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the aspect of community service by supporting inclusivity and providing tangible benefits to the community.
