Maintaining Family Ties, the Dean and the BKFK Committee Visited the Elders


In a series of celebrations for the 62nd BKFK anniversary which falls in March 2024, the Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., together with the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, FK Unud, Dr. Dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., and Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, FK Unud, Dr. Dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes, visited an elder figure, namely Prof. Dr. Dr. Putu Astawa, Sp.OT(K)., M.Kes., dr. N.Wirya Duarsa, Sp.KK., and Prof. Dr. I Dewa Putu Widjana, DAP&E, Sp. Park at his residence. (18/3/2024)


Dr.N.Wirya Duarsa, Sp.KK is one of the elders who was also the Dean of FK Unud for the 1982-1989 period. During his service he also contributed to the establishment of the Specialist Study Program in Skin and Venereological Diseases which is currently called the Dermatology and Venereology Specialist Study Program at FK Unud in 1971 together with the Head of the Skin and Venereological Diseases Department of FK Unair/RSUD Dr.Soetomo, Surabaya , Prof. Dr. Ibeni Ilias.


A glimpse of Prof. Dr. I Dewa Putu Widjana, DAP&E, Sp. ParK, he was the Dean of FK Unud for the 2004-2008 period and when he was still active, he was a professor in the field of parasitology at FK Unud. After retiring, he served as Chancellor of Warmadewa University for the 2019-2023 period. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Dr. Putu Astawa, Sp.OT(K)., M.Kes is a professor of Orthopedics and also the Dean of FK Unud for the 2013-2017 period.


On this occasion, Prof. Januartha also invited the elders to attend the peak BKFK event to maintain ties and respect the services provided by the elders while serving at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.


This visit was also attended by student representatives to provide insight into the elders who have contributed to the development of the institution and strengthen ties between generations.


On this occasion, the elders expressed their gratitude because FK Unud still remembers and respects the elders and professors who have contributed to the institution, and advised the younger generation to always maintain and develop the institution of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.


The event, which was enveloped in a warm family atmosphere, ended with a group photo.
