Mini Symposium dan Workshop ” INTENSIVE START”

On Saturday 1 September 2018 at Harris Hotel Denpasar, a mini symposium and workshop was held with the theme "Intensive Start, Simply Start Simply A1Chieve". This event was organized by the Indonesian Endocrinology Association (PERKENI) Denpasar Branch and PT Novo Nordisk. The event started with participant registration and pre-test at 08.00 WITA and the event was opened by the General Chairperson of PB Perkeni Prof. Dr. dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD– KEMD, FINASIM. The mini symposium event consisted of 3 topics discussing the management of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and the use of insulin, especially in the era of the National Health Insurance (JKN). The speaker who fills this event is an endocrine consultant who has a focus on diabetes mellitus. After the discussion on the topic of the symposium, the event continued with the “ Impact Full Patient Communication” workshop in the form of a role model history and doctor-patient education demonstrated by the participants as well as sharing experiences about patient-physician communication by the facilitator.

This event lasted for 5 hours and was attended by general practitioners and specialists in internal medicine as many as 50 people from various regions in Bali. The event was closed with a post-test and lunch together. It is hoped that from this event, participants will be more equipped with knowledge about diabetes mellitus management and have good communication skills in motivating and educating diabetes mellitus patients, especially those who use insulin.
