Talking about Women and Media, FK Unud Collaboration with Wikimedia, Swedish Embassy, and UNFPA


Bincang Perempuan is a talk show session that aims to increase public understanding and awareness about the urgency of bridging the gap in women's health information on the internet. Apart from that, this session also aims to encourage public involvement in providing vital information in the form of articles on the topic of women's health that are not yet available on Wikipedia. This activity is one of a series of events for the 2024 Women's Wiki Month held jointly by Wikimedia Indonesia, the Swedish Embassy and UNFPA Indonesia with the theme "Bridging the gap in women's health information on the internet" at the Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Gede Ngurah Meeting Room, Building FK Unud Denpasar.(16/3/2024)


Followed by participants from active students of the Public Health Undergraduate Study Program guided by moderator Desak Nyoman Widyanthini, S.ST., M.Kes. This webinar presents three speakers, namely:

1. Ni Kadek Sintya Anggreni, Coordinator of Kisara PKBI Bali, with the topic: "The importance of digital campaigns on women's health in Indonesia"


2. Ni Putu Tirta Dewi Mahayogi, A.Md.Keb., S.KM., women's health activist and Bali Sruti INCLUSION Program Coordinator. with the topic: "Educating the reproductive health of women and teenagers via social media"


3. Ivonne Kristen, initiator and contributor to the Women's Wiki Project on Indonesian Wikipedia with the topic: "Contributing to articles on women's topics on Wikipedia"


The event began with online remarks by the General Chair of Wikimedia Indonesia, Mr. Rachmat Wahidi. In his speech, Wikimedia Indonesia commemorated International Women's Day by holding a large event under the auspices of Wiki Women's Month. This women's Wiki Month will discuss topics that are relevant and require special attention regarding women's inequality. Women are an important pillar in the fabric of our society, therefore, let's together realize and support the health and welfare of women in Indonesia, not just a moral obligation but for Indonesia's health development.
