The 2nd High-Level Meeting Of Mayors And Regents On Rabies Prevention In Bali
In order to strengthen and improve rabies control in disease prevention and control program planning, the Indonesian Association of Public Health Experts (IAKMI) Bali in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, Asia Pacific Cities Alliance for Health and Development (APCAT), World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) and the Bali Provincial Government held the 2nd High-Level Meeting Of Mayors And Regents On Rabies Prevention In Bali on September 10, 2024, at the Truntum Hotel in Kuta.
This activity was attended by 100 participants from the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Mayors and Regents throughout Bali, the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, the Asia Pacific Cities Affiance for Health and Development (APCAT), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), the Bali Provincial Health Office, the Bali Provincial Agriculture and Food Security Office, the Bali Regency / City Health Office, the Bali Regency / City Agriculture Office, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information FK Unud Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH, PhD, relevant regional apparatus organizations, the private sector, communities in society / professional organizations, academics and media partners.
The event presented the results of the survey "Knowledge, Attitude and Behavior of Rabies Control and Estimation of Dog Population in Bali Province: Results of the 2024 Household Survey", a panel discussion of Mayors/Regents related to rabies prevention in Bali and public-private partnerships for rabies prevention in Bali. The event ended with the reading of the recommendation formulation delivered by Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH, PhD as the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program at FK Unud and closed by Tara Singh Bam as Director of Asia Pacific Cities Affiance for Health and Development (APCAT).
