To strengthen the synergy between the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program (BTKV) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Hospital Recommending the Specialist Medical Education Participants (PPDS), an online strategic meeting was held, bringing together key stakeholders in the field of medical education and advanced healthcare services in Indonesia, particularly in the field of Thoracic, Cardiovascular, and Vascular Surgery.
The event was also attended by:
1. Director General of Human Resources for Health, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia
2. Director General of Advanced Health Services, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia
3. Chair of the Indonesian Thoracic and Cardiac and Vascular Surgery College
4. Chair of the Indonesian Association of Thoracic and Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (HBTKVI)
5. Rector of Udayana University
6. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
7. Representatives of IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital as the Main Teaching Hospital
8. Lecturers from the BTKV Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
This meeting provided a platform for synergy between educational institutions, professional organizations, and the government to support the transformation of specialist medical education in Indonesia, particularly in the field of Thoracic and Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (BTKV).
Various important topics were discussed, including the current state of BTKV service preparation and planning for the next few years, particularly in terms of Human Resources, Facilities, and Medical Equipment, in order to ensure the best and most equitable service throughout the Republic of Indonesia.
It is hoped that this meeting will be a concrete step in creating a medical education system that is more adaptive, equitable, and responsive to the challenges of national health services.
