Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Graduates 271 Prospective Graduates for April 2026


The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University (FK Unud) proudly graduated 271 prospective graduates. The graduation ceremony was held at the Widya Sabha Building, Bukit Campus, Jimbaran. (April 16, 2026)


The graduation ceremony for the April 2026 FK Unud graduates was attended by the Director of Medical and Nursing Affairs of Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, the Director of Unud Hospital, the Director of Unud General Hospital, the Head of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) for the Bali Region, the Head of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PDGI) for the Bali Region, the Head of the Faculty of Medicine's Ikayana Commissariat, the Vice Deans of FK Unud, the Study Program Coordinators, the Coordinators of the KP3 Unit, and all prospective graduates.


The event began with a graduation report from the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who announced the number of prospective graduates from each study program and the top graduates from each level of education.


For the April 2026 term, the top graduates were:

1. Dr. Angeline Chandra, S.Ked., M.Biomed (AAM), from the Master of Biomedical Sciences Study Program

2. Dr. Made Sebastian Dwi Putra Hardika, Sp.N., from the Neurology Specialist Study Program

3. Dr. Ni Putu Eka Frastika Sari, S.Ked., from the Professional Education Study Program

4. Ni Wayan Apni Suari Putri, S.KM., from the Master of Biomedical Sciences Study Program Bachelor of Public Health


The next event was the handover of graduates from the Study Program Coordinators to the Dean, followed by the recitation of the Young Doctors' and Bachelor of Nursing Oaths by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K). The event continued with the signing of the pledges for the young doctors and bachelors of nursing, accompanied by the Director of Medical and Nursing Affairs of Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital, the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, and the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Nursing Study Program. The ceremony continued with the symbolic presentation of young doctors' coats and name tags to representatives of the young doctors and bachelors of nursing by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Following the presentation of the young doctors' coats and name tags, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, recited the Doctor's Oath and the Dentist's Oath. The Dean was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Bali Region, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PDGI) Bali Region, and clergy representing doctors and dentists, followed by the signing and confirmation of the oaths. The graduation ceremony for the prospective graduates continued with the inauguration of specialist doctors, physicians, and dentists by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K).


Following the inauguration, the event continued with the presentation of certificates to the top graduates, the graduation ceremony for the prospective graduates, and remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Director of Medical and Nursing at Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital, Dr. I Made Darmajaya, Sp.B, Sp.BA, Subsp. DA(K), MARS.


On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, congratulated the prospective graduates and their parents, explaining that national health transformation is crucial. The government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemen Diktisaintek), is undertaking a major expansion with plans to open approximately 160 new specialist study programs. In addition to the university pathway, hospital-based education programs will also be opened with nearly the same capacity. This provides both an opportunity and a responsibility for prospective graduates to quickly determine their own development paths to remain relevant in today's rapidly evolving medical technology.


"The true test for a doctor is not during lectures, but rather when dealing with a diverse society. Therefore, prospective graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to prepare themselves for their role as healthcare professionals. The Faculty of Medicine and its network of hospitals are committed to eliminating negative practices such as bullying on campus and in networked hospitals," added Prof. Eka.


The event concluded with impressions and messages from representatives of prospective graduates for the April 2026 intake.
