XXVI Internal Medicine CLA in 2018

Thursday, October 31, 2018 at the Angsoka building on the 4th floor, a parallel workshop was opened as the opening of the series of Continuing Medical Education (PKB) events in Internal Medicine XXVI 2018. For three consecutive days from October 31, 2018 to November 2, 2018, there have been workshops, memorial lectures, debates, symposiums and poster presentations were held with the aim of providing the latest information on disease management in the field of internal medicine.

The theme raised at this PKB is "Disease management controversy in the field of Internal Medicine". This PKB has a very different nuance compared to the previous PKB. DR. dr. Made Ratna Saraswati, Sp.PD-KEMD as the chairman of the committee made this PKB event not only as an ordinary scientific meeting event but also inserting entertainment programs to balance the left brain and right brain. Several art performances such as the Janger dance, Petruk dance and flashmob surprises in the middle of the event which involved all internal medicine residents at Udayana University/Sanglah Hospital and specialist doctors. This makes the event even more interesting.

This PKB event went smoothly and unexpectedly attracted many participants. Starting from parallel workshop activities to parallel symposium activities held at Prime Plaza Sanur, more than 200 participants attended the event until the end. This time, some of the themes raised were very applicable and during the discussion many questions were asked by the participants either directly or through the pigeon hole application. From the beginning, this event implemented sophistication by using the Pigeon Hole application and was very helpful for participants in terms of accessing schedules, and information about PKB.

As an additional series for the first time, it was coupled with the Udayana Internal Medicine alumni meeting (PERDANA) and the launching of the alumni book in the form of a tea party and dinner together. At this event, the feeling of intimacy between alumni and supervisors was very evident. The alumni were very enthusiastic and really enjoyed the event.

During the three days of the XXVI internal medicine PKB event in 2018, it was a success, all of this thanks to the good teamwork of the entire committee. At the end of the event closed with an acoustic performance by the entire committee and specialist doctors. Hopefully next year the next internal medicine PKB event can be held as lively as this year.
