Unud Faculty of Medicine Holds Facilitator Training to Improve Student Learning

To continuously equalize the perception of FK lecturers and to prepare for the upcoming 2022/2023 odd semester lectures, FK Unud held a hybrid Facilitator Training with the main location point in Room 3.02, FK Building, Denpasar. (28/7/2022)

The training which was opened directly by the Dean of FK Unud, Dr.dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih M.Kes., presenting 3 speakers who are competent in their fields, namely;

1. Prof.Dr.dr. .Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD-KEMD., with the topic: Philosophy and principles of facilitators in learning,

2. dr. I Gusti Ayu Harry Sundariyati, S.Ked.,MHPE and

3. dr. Putu Gede Sudira, Sp.S., M,Sc with the topic: procedures for facilitating SGD offline and online.

This training was attended by 166 participants of which 136 attended online and 30 participants attended offline which was guided by the Moderator, dr. I.B. Amertha P. Manuaba, S. Ked, M. Biomed.

The head of the activity committee, Dr.dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A(K), said, Facilitator Based Learning is a student-centered learning approach, so the role of the facilitator is very important in providing a more useful academic environment, and maximizing student learning.

The role of the facilitator in facilitating the student learning process and stimulating students to collaborate effectively can be done by directing students to clarify their own ideas, encouraging students to elaborate on the subject matter, questioning ideas, and to consider alternative problem solving from what has been learned.

Also attending this training were the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Ph.D.
